Marcelo Rios and Juan Carlos Ferrero are the first big names to withdraw from Wimbledon this year. Rios has withdrawn with a leg injury. He also missed last year’s championships. Ferrero, who had been threatening to boycott the event in a row about not being seeded, has pulled out with a back injury. He may also miss the Davis Cup tie with the United States later this month. Magnus Larsson and Daniel Vacek have also been forced to withdraw.
